We design packaging based on a 3×3 grid**, which ensures visual order and uniformity across the range.
We reserve one third of the format for key information – product type, name and icons.
The remaining two thirds are for the Lamax logo, the alpha symbol and the product image. On smaller packaging we can work with overlapping the logo into the other third to keep it dominant and legible.
We prefer frontal product views that fit naturally into the geometric nature of the packaging design.
On the front of the packaging, we use only the Lamax logo itself without the complementary sub-brand name – this promotes clarity and avoids fragmenting visual attention with additional small text.
The cover, which has an aspect ratio of approximately 1:1, is divided into a precise grid. All outside and inside margins correspond to 6% of the length of the shorter side of the format.
The Logo Lamax is positioned vertically along the left edge and is maximally extended within its dedicated section.
The product image is centered in its section and is visually linked to the Alpha symbol, which is centered with the product and then extends diagonally beyond the edge of the format.
Text information is located at the bottom of the cover. The rule is that it must not interfere with the last sixth of its section to keep the overall impression airy and uncluttered. The icons are then aligned with the text at the bottom of the section.
The sides belong to the claymation, which is aligned to the centre. The margins in this case are double the size of the front cover. At the same time, we follow the rules set out in the typography section.
The cover with an aspect ratio of approximately 5:2 is divided into a regular grid. All edges and inner guide lines are based on the 6% shorter side of the format, ensuring consistent alignment of the elements.
The Logo Lamax is positioned at the bottom left and is proportioned to the width of the dedicated section and is a prominent feature within the cover.
The product image is centered in its own section of the packaging, supported by the Alpha symbol which ties the entire composition together.
The text section is placed in the right part of the layout. To give the whole an airy feel, the text must not encroach on the last sixth of this section. The Icons are aligned with the bottom line of the text block.
The side that has a 1:1 aspect ratio belongs to the claymation, which is center-aligned. The margins in this case are double the size of the front cover. The Lamax logo is at the top and is 1/3 the width of the format. Its size then corresponds to the size of the claymation font.
The cover, which has an aspect ratio of approximately 1:2, is divided into a precise grid. All outside and inside margins correspond to 6% of the length of the shorter side of the format.

The 1:1 layout of the small box corresponds to the large box in the same ratio. The difference is in the work with Lamax logo, which is stretched to the height of the whole format (taking into account the defined margins), so that it stands out enough on the small box.
The sides belong to the claimo, which we align to the center. In this case, the margins are double the size of the front cover. At the same time, we follow the rules set out in the typography section.
We work exclusively with the Kern font on all product packaging, which, thanks to its variability, allows a wide range of uses – from technical data to distinctive claims – while ensuring a consistent visual impression across the entire portfolio.
The hierarchy of the textual information is clear: we place the greatest emphasis on the product type, which is always twice as large as the model name itself. This ratio helps the customer to quickly identify the product category.
On the sides of the boxes we use an expanded italic cut, which is dynamic and confident and ideal for short claims or slogans. For the claims, we align the text in a single line with the Lamax logo to maintain the links between the objects on the surface.
For accompanying icons and their descriptions, we choose a more condensed cut, which is space-saving and ensures good readability even for longer texts.
Based on an existing set (Carbon) from the Streamline library – the icons are easy to understand at a glance and thanks to their geometric base they naturally fit into the visual style of Lamax. They are not distracting and support the technical but modern character of the brand. The "text" icons (AAC, BT5.3,…) are processed in a brand font (narrower bold cut).
Icons on the packaging are placed in "buttons " – pill-shaped with rounded edges. Each button is framed by a line with a white gradient, which adds visual depth to the element. One side of the button disappears into nothing.
Buttons are stacked in a row – horizontally and vertically, depending on the format of the cover and the number of icons. This flexibility allows you to maintain clarity even with a larger number of functions.
Text labels for icons are always rendered in a condensed font cut, making them work well even in limited space. We work with both single-line and double-line variants, always with an emphasis on legibility and visual balance of the whole.
